The Rise of Arianna [Chapter IV]

Chapter IV

As the years passed, Arianna and Max kept hanging out with each other as often as possible and became more than best friends! Max told Ari that he was forced to finish the college, but music was more interesting to him. Someday they had released their first EP called "I'll be there for You" which included their first four covers(they had added the chorus to "Narnia Lullaby") and also the other songs like "We can't back down" by Demi Lovato, "All You Wanted" by Michelle Branch, "Hello" by Evanescence(which Arianna learned to play on the viollin, but she also used the instrumentals and her beautiful voice), "Shattered" by Trading Yesterday(beside the instrumentals, Aria played it on the guitar and sang), "Forgiven" by Within Temptation(Ari also learned to play it on the viollin and sang to the instrumentals), "I'll be there for You" by Rembrandts and finally "Requiem For A Dream" where Ana just played on the viollin to the instrumentals. But one day was going to change their lives forever...

Arianna came out of the house. She had black boots/belt/necklace, bright pink bow put on a headband and a river-, even bright-blue dress with straps and a little bit darker socks. It was one of her favourite outfits. Max jointed her soon and the two went for a date to the cinema. They had lived together. Ari was usually cheerful, but that evening she almost didn't say anything...
"Are you okay, hon?" he asked her after the movie had finished.
"Yes..." the girl answered unsure.
"If there's anything I'm doing wrong, just tell me, okay?"
"No... That's not about you..." she lowered her head.
"So about what or who then?" it seemed the angelmunk very wanted to know.
"Nobody... Nothing really..."
"Okay then..."

They walked through the street. "Shall I tell him?" wondered Arianna. "No! Not now! He'll leave me!" Meanwhile, Max held her paw and kept looking around. Because it was evening, the predators started coming out of the dens. Also, the clouds seemed to set the rain soon.
"We better quick - the powerful storm's coming!" Max noticed.
"You're right..." answered Ana. She was pretty absent-minded.
Soon the rain started falling. Because they both were afraid of the storm, after the first thunder they started running towards the bolt-home. The house was far away.
"Oh, great! We're grounded!" said the meerkatmunk. His red T-shirt was wet. He had his wings hidden just like her. "Sweetie, you almost don't eat the breakfasts, don't talk to me, don't even come closer and kiss me! Tell me - what's wrong with you!?"
"Noth..." but before she finished, he put his paw on her lips. "I'm not enough for you, I know..."
"No, it's not about you! You're very good to me, but..."
"But?" he looked into her eyes.
"I don't think you're ready..." Aria's voice got quiet.
"Ready for what?"
"I'm... I'm..." in her eyes appeared tears. "I'm pregnant!"
"Wait, you're what!?" he was shocked!
"I'm pregnant!"
"No, you can't be!"
"But I am! I've done the test in the morning! You're gonna be father if you like it or not!"
"Sorry, but... No! I can't! I'm not ready yet! I was hit by lightning and now I'm having a nightmare!" he ran out of the bolt-hole.
"That's how behaves the responsible daddy!?" she emerged above ground. "Great! Go! But you know what!? I'm gonna rise that baby and I don't care what are you thinking about it!" then Aria turned back and cried for the long hours.

The rain kept falling.
"What a moroon I am! I shouldn't have left her, but... She's going to have a baby and... And I'm not even sure if I'm ready..." Max thought. "I mean - I planned to have kids in the future of course, but what if the music career crashes and we won't be able to get the little boy or girl the right future? What if we won't have enough money? Arianna said she wished her children to be home-schooled just like her, but... Is it the right time to think about things like that?" then he heard the thunder and everything had disappeared in the total brightness for a couple seconds. "Stupid lightning!" the male took the rest of his courage and as he saw what the lightning had hit, he was pretty horrified... If the fire wasn't enough, one of the biggest trees on the desert started to burn... The tree over Arianna's bolt hole...

"Ari!" he started to run towards her, but he had a long distance to cross.
Meanwhile, Aria, which finally fell a sleep, was woken up by the noise and sniffed air...
"Smoke? Grey? FIRE!" then the girl desperatly started searching the entrance to escape! She was pretty scared!
Even though Max was exhausted after the long distance, he started calling her name, but nobody answered. Luckily, one of the entrances was free so he came into the burrow. He wished he could find her, but there were so many tunnels! After a couple minutes, the male had heard her scream. "Aria! Don't worry, I'm coming!" at the moment he wasn't responsible just for her, but also for their unborn baby. "Hold on, sweetheart!" then he grabbed her into his fangs and took aside before half of the bolt-hole collapsed. "Don't worry! Everything's gonna be fine! I promise! I love you and I'm sorry!"
"Max?" she had her eyes half-closed. "What are you doing here?"
"You might not have noticed, but I'm saving you and OUR baby!" then he put her on his back and ran out.
As they emerged, the meerkatmunk put her down on the sand. "Are you okay?" the boy asked seeing the big tree lieing on the ground. "Let's get out of here!" but the other one, a burning one, had blocked up the way...
"Why did you come back!?" she asked. In her eyes he could notice some anger.
"I've just saved your life!"
"You didn't have to! If I had burned, you'd have two problems out of your head!"
"I had to!" he put his paw on her belly. "I'm sorry. I want you two back."
"Great! Now he had reminded about my existing!" she clapped.
"I still wanna be with you, no matter what! And I'm gonna stay with you if you like it or not!"
"Stubborn donkey!"
He giggled. "My heart and my love have brought me here!"
"Okay, okay, great move Romeo, but right now I'm sorry - I'm a little bit busy! I gotta get out of here!" but then she had noticed the lieing tree. "Great! Just great! I'll burn by your side!"
"It's a pleasure, princess!" he chuckled. She stared at him like she wanted to rip her paws around his neck! "Okay, I'm kidding. I can't believe you can handle such an immature person!" then Max noticed the fire coming towards him.
"Moving on! We gotta push the rock away!"
"But..."
"If you saved me, now you help me!"
"Aria..."
"I'm busy!" she looked pretty annoyed and hadn't even noticed he put something out of his pocket.
"If something goes wrong... I'd like to know one thing... I can't die without getting your answer..." he started shyly.
"Yes, I DO like mint ice creams, but I haven't eaten them because of you!"
"No..." the meerkatmunk put his paw on her shoulder so she turned back at him. "Will you marry me?"
