The Rise of Arianna [Chapter VII]

Chapter VII

"Carefully, honey!" Max took her paw and helped her come on the boat.
"Don't worry! I'm able to walk... Yet!" Arianna giggled. She was in the second month of pregnancy and it seemed the angelmunk was going to have many kids again. Alease and her sisters were left under one of Ari's friend's care.

As they reached the middle of the lake, Max opened up the fridge.
"Okay, so... We've got a couple sandwiches + four bootles of orange juice."
"Four? Why so many?"
"Did you forget waking up in the middle of the night to drink something?"
"Ops... You're right" she smiled. Ana had pale teal, elegant shoes, bright blue tights, short, beautiful, unsleeved purpish-blue dress with something between shoulder-straps and collar, and a headband with a lily on it in the same colour. Her husband was wearing black shoes, dark blue trousers, black T-shirt and a shorter, bright red one with big, yellow "M" on it. Because of the water nearly, the couple hid the wings to protect them from getting wet.

About 9pm the weather started getting worse. The wind was much stronger than before. The clouds were pretty dark and it seemed it was going to be such a stormy evening.
"Okay, it's time to go back!" decided Max, but then...
"MAX! HELP ME!" it was his wife's scream! The meerkatmunk ran towards the edge and spotted Aria in the water! With her pregnant belly, she was unable to swim!
"Hold on, honey!" he put out his shirts and shoes, and jumped in the trousers into the cold water. "I'm coming!" the male tried to quick because in danger were also the unborn pups!
A huge lightning crossed the night sky. Being in water got really dangerous!
"Max!" she almost couldn't talk or neither breath.
"Take my paw!" but then she was taken by the water even further and disappeared. Max had no time so got underwater and after he found his wife, he pushed her above, then as a typical meerkat, grabbed her into his fangs and after a couple minutes they were on the boat. "Arianna! Wake up!" but there was no reaction! "Sweetie! Open your eyes! Alease and the others are waiting! Don't leave me here alone... Please!"
"Max?" her voice was very weak. He hugged her happily with tears in his eyes and covered up with a blanket. "It's okay. We're going back home!"
The rain started falling. After reaching the harbour, they got into the car, all wet!
"We're safe!" Max smiled trying to cheer Ari up.
"But... Max..." she whispered.
"Don't worry! It'll get warmer here soon!" he smiled.
"My... Belly... It... It hurts..." then on her dress appeared a couple drops of blood.
"Aria?" his eyes got wide. "Are you okay?" but then she lost the consciousness. "Arianna! Open your eyes!" but then he had realized the girl could swallow more water than he thought. And now not only his future pups' lives were in danger, but also his wife's life... When an angelmunk had the wings hidden(for example being in the water), it didn't let him/her be immortal...
